PERSISTENCE
To me persistence means to do something over and over again and to not give up. It also means to keep on trying even if you think you aren't doing it very well. I think this quality is emphasized at DRSS particularly because all humans make mistakes but if you keep trying after you make those mistakes then you will grow each time you try to fix your mistakes.
I think I really demonstrated my growth in persistence in the Storybook project. This is because I got stuck on the first image of our storybook and I kept on messing up by either mixing the colors up or by not having the right composition of the overall format. I made about 7 drafts of that same image until I got it right. I think that each time I made a new draft I improved and grew in composing that image. I think this experience made me grow in the ability to persist. This is because every time I did another draft of the same image I would keep on pushing myself to do the best on this draft even if it didn't turn out very great. I didn't get discouraged and I kept on persisting.
